Spatial data
Spatial data describes the shape and location of real world objects such as survey marks, natural resources, buildings, physical landscape and administrative factors such as land parcels, street addresses and local government areas.
Digital spatial data is a vital tool for people who need information on land, the environment, transport, communications, utility services, demography and socio-economic factors.
A range of data is available including cadastral, topographic, aerial photography, survey and purpose-built data sets.
Cadastral information
The Department of Lands maintains and updates the Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB) for New South Wales. Download the Electronic Service Delivery Questionnaire (PDF 433 kb) and read the latest on the Digital Cadastral Database Product Description (PDF 921 kb).
Topographic data
The Digital Topographic Database (DTDB) shows the physical landscape of New South Wales. Lands has an ongoing initiative to capture, update and maintain a comprehensive topographic dataset across the State. Through the DTDB, Lands is able to provide:
- Transportion (road, rail and ferry) Theme
- Cultural Theme
- Hydrography (drainage) Theme
- Physiography (land surface and land form - including contours) Theme
- Digital Terrain Models (DTMs)
- OrthoView (ortho rectified photos)
Ordering data
Before you order any data it is essential that you contact your Account Manager and discuss your needs. All requests for quotations should be in writing (faxed and emailed requests are acceptable).
All orders must have completed licence agreements and Digital Data Specifications forms. Account holders should place a purchase order and will be invoiced after completion of the job. Non-Account holders need to make payment in advance of work commencing. Credit cards are acceptable.
