Current projects
LPI has initiated a number of key projects to develop the internal business capabilities needed to achieve the new electronic information management system for plans.
At the same time LPI will continue to work with key stakeholders to develop a system that will deliver efficiencies across the whole land development industry.
Pre -allocated plan numbers (PPN)
After consulting with the legal, surveying and conveyancing communities, we found there was substantial public interest in being able to access the early issue of plan numbers for proposed developments: in other words, having a PPN.
An end-of-term review of the 12 month pilot programme has now been completed. The review has shown that the uptake of the PPN programme has been strong and feedback from industry has been positive. There is also a sustained interest from LPI clients in PPNs being made available for all plan purposes and all title systems.
As a result of the review, from 11 June 2008 the PPN programme will be expanded to include all plan purposes and all Title systems. By the end of June 2008, access to PPNs will be extended to all registered surveyors in Group 1 of the Survey Services Portal.
